Context - Created a custom logo design for my friend’s startup company.

Software Used - Procreate for iPad, Adobe Photoshop

 

My Process

I was tasked by a friend of mine to create a logo for his new business venture.

The deliverable needed to be a logo aligned with the product. The product being a box of assorted beard maintenance product.

I used Procreate on the iPad to create the design of the silhouette, which I then exported as a .PSD file to Photoshop to add text, shapes, and finalize the design.

Here is the final product, a time-lapse of the logo, and snapshots of my process work along the way.

 
 

Trying Different Styles

  • Started with two different profiles, head on and side profile.

  • Client decided to go with head on, from there experimented with colours until a black and white design was chosen.

  • Minor changes made such as slimming the silhouette, adding detail to the beard, coloured streaks in the hair.
